Confession: A one year old is in my top three most challenging clients to photograph. They are somewhere between baby and toddler and none of my gold standard "tricks" for connecting with each of those age groups really get the job done. They are most likely on the move - in one way or another - and cannot be reasoned with to stay in one spot. Except if there's cake. Cake can make 99% of one year olds sit still for at least 3 minutes.
It was great being able to meet the Kupersteins at their home where we took advantage of their scenic back yard for family shots before heading inside to grab some sweet and simple cake smash photos of Ari. So, instead of pleading with your one year old not to fall asleep or cry for an entire car trip, (99% of 1 year olds also do one or both of these things) let me come to you!
